What I do for a living

Currently employed by Library Systems & Services. My job deals with managing the integrated library systems (Polaris ILS) for over twenty libraries and over eighty facilities across the United States. The ILS team handles day to day operational tasks, troubleshooting system problems, planning and deployment of new systems, complex database queries and data analysis, and staff training; among plenty of other duties.

  • Writing scripts for Generating X and another podcast project

  • Launched a new tumblelog/stream-of-thought site called Cogito

  • Working on an album of ambient and space music based on the art of science fiction novels and magazines
