Interests

Outside of my library work, I'm a digital creative. I make podcasts about technology and libraries (Cyberpunk Librarian), and I have a sci-fi story based show featuring librarians in space (Intragalactic Librarian). Besides that, I listen to far more podcasts than anyone should. I've written four books on subjects ranging from popular history to library tech to cyberpunk culture to the paranormal.

I love music and listen to almost everything, but I have a special adoration for ambient and space music, along with the folk music of Ireland and Quebec. My favourite ambient musician is Lucette Bourdin, I love Gaelic Storm and The Dubliners, and Le Vent du Nord is the best folk band to ever emerge from Quebec. I occasionally compose, cover, and record my own music and I'll sing Irish folk whenever I don't think anyone is paying attention.
