  • OwnCloud – It’s like Dropbox for your own server
  • Setting up OwnCloud on GoDaddy – I’ve done it, and it’s not hard; especially if you know how to make MySQL databases work with websites.
  • BitTorrent Sync – Using torrents to sync your data with yourself and your friends.
  • SyncThing – Like BitTorrent Sync, but open source.
  • Vienna – Standalone RSS reader for OS X
  • NetNewsWire – Another standalone RSS reader for OS X
  • Liferea – Standalone RSS reader for Linux
  • Akregator – Standalone RSS reader for KDE (Also Linux, but specifically for KDE.)
  • RSSOwl – Cross platform, Java based RSS reader.
  • Brief – A RSS reader add-on for Firefox. Also a cross platform solution that integrates right into your browser.
  • AlternativeTo – There are other solutions to your software needs. Check them out, shop around, and get the best thing for you!
