The light is fading quickly as the sun sets behind the distant hills. You finish your coffee, buckle in to the driver’s seat, and pull back out onto the highway. As night falls, the traffic falls away. You’re the only one out here, in the middle of nowhere.
You turn on the radio, looking for something to cover the silence. But only a single AM station comes through.
